I guess we need to check to see if the labels have "made in china" more closely. I hope that the oriental restaurants that I frequent are not using real "chinese" food :-)

I Love El Amigo
Hola,
I'm at El Amigo waiting on darel to get here. Does it make me a hypocrite to be against the "Amnesty Bill" but love Mexican food?
I think I'm going to have the lunch A C Texanas. They have become my favorite!
Remember, if you haven't contacted Congress to vote against Amnesty, there's still time to stop this bill (even if W says its not amnesty).
Gracias,
Scott

Fred Thompson running for president
I will have to learn more about him. The little I know about him, I think I may like him better than Rudy, McCain, or Romney. I'll have to wait and see.

I Love Memorial Day
I had to work, but it was amazing to drive through Atlanta and not stop one time. It was Awesome for one day because I'm afraid tomorrow will be back to normal.
I did have one problem today. The frosty machine was broke at my Georgia Wendy's :-(

Dreaming of Cedar Point 2007
Maverick Opened Today!!!
PointBuzz - News
It's Memorial Day weekend, and it's the time of year that I start thinking about Amusement Parks. I know that many of you know that I can get obsessed with Cedar Point, but it's the greatest park on the planet.
It's a park that brings back many great memories for me. In 2000, I first visited Cedar Point on my honeymoon. It was in July and was the year that Millenium Force open. I remember waiting almost 2 hours to ride "M Force". It's still the greatest coaster IMO.
In 2002, I went back in the fall for their Halloweekends. It's the best time of year to go, since the weather is cool. It can be down right cold, just ask Josh Parrish who went to the park without his coat (what a loser :-) ) Parrish, Martin, and MattFord were the ones who went with me on that trip. Wicked Twister was the new coaster that year, but they were in the process of building something very special. We could see the steel reaching about 200 feet high (but did not know it would eventually reach 420feet).
In 2004, I again returned to the POINT with Nathan Wrights, Christopher Wingler, and Woodchuck. The ride that I went for was that one they were building in 02, Top Thrill Dragster. It's a pure adrenaline rush. Wingler and Woodchuck decided to not ride it during the trip, but Nathan and I conquered the ride.
In 2006, I returned to OHIO with Bradley and Parrish for his second trip. We all rode Dragster and all the other great rides. They were in the process of building a new coaster, Maverick which opens today.
I know that I have a history of going every other year, but I'm planning on breaking that tradition sometime this year. I just haven't got the trip completely planned out this year, but I hope to go back real soon.

DUKE WINS
WOW! I don't know much about Lacrosse, but that was an exciting game. Duke blew a 7 goal lead with 11 seconds to go, and we scored in 8 seconds to win 12-11. The championship will be Monday @ 1:00 pm against john hopkins.

Saudis arrest Christian for entering Mecca
Wow, it's illegal for a "Christian" to even be in Mecca!!! Maybe the US should become more like our "Saudi" Allies and not allow muslims in our cities. I also read online where about 25% of young muslims living here in the USA believe that suicide bombings to defend their faith is OK.

It's about time. That woman has lost her mind. I've never been a fan of her, but she has gotten very bitter. She use to have her own shoe, that was positive and child friendly. She is no longer the same person.

Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
I don't know about you, but I'm against this proposal and I will be calling my senators on Monday to let them know I'm not for this proposal. I have never called on of my representative in my life, but I will on Monday. I hope if you are against this "Amnesty", that you too will call and let your voice be heard.

Newt Gingrich called this proposal a "a sellout of every conservative principle."
Republican candidate Mitt Romney said
"I strongly oppose today's bill going through the Senate. It is the wrong approach. Any legislation that allows illegal immigrants to stay in the country indefinitely, as the new 'Z-Visa' does, is a form of amnesty. That is unfair to the millions of people who have applied to legally immigrate to the U.S.
"Today's Senate agreement falls short of the actions needed to both solve our country's illegal immigration problem and also strengthen our legal immigration system. Border security and a reliable employment verification system must be our first priority."

Feeding the Dogs (III)
I know it's a little early to be feeding the dogs, but I will be returning from Atlanta late tonight. Kristy has to attend a pre-school graduation ceremony for Kids Korner tonight
I don't understand the purpose of all of these graduaton ceremonies before 12th grade. All of the years at TTCS and NKCA, I always thought that it was just a conspiracy for the makers of caps and gowns.
What will graduating from pre school, kindergarten, or even 5th grade get you? NOTHING!!! I don't believe in any of my job interviews that they asked if + graduated from Pre K, Kindergarten, etc.
So, as we enter graduation season, I hope you enjoy all of the "Pomp and Circumstances".

Republican Debate on FoxNews Tonight at 9:00
I am a registered Republican and this is the first time that I'm having trouble on deciding who to support. It was easy to support Reagan, Bush, and anyone against Bill Clinton :)
This year, I'm not sure who to support. I will be taping the debate and will report on the debate later this week.
If you have any input, I would love to hear it.

Sweet Atlanta Traffic & Dubya's Library
Wow, Atlanta traffic today was amazing. It usually takes about 20-30 extra minutes to get through downtown Atlanta, but not today. It was only like 10 extra minutes. I'm not sure, but I guess people in Hotlanta take 2 days to celebrate mother's day.
I was listening to the Drudge Report on my IPOD today, and Drudge had an interesting suggestion for where to put "dubya's" library. His suggestion was since dubya is for amnesty for illegal aliens, that maybe his library should be in Mexico. That's

Feeding the Dogs (II)
It's a beautiful evening in Kannapolis. The temperature is in the 70's with a nice breeze.
Pixy is not showing much interest in her supper right now. She's messing around the building.
Dietrich is sitting beside me waiting for me to throw her frisbee (which I've already done a few times).
I kow that my dogs are really spoiled rotten, but that's OK!!!

Gas Prices over $4.00
It's hard to even think about gas getting that expensive. I wish that we would really fight a war for oil in the future, so we can get back around $1.00 a gallon.

Kris Jenkins = Kevin Blackburn and I
Wow, it's reported that Kris Jenkins came to panthers mini camp last week at 384 pounds. That's incredible! That's heavier than if you could combine Kevin (not yet 150 pounds) and my 230lbs. Amazing! I hope he is able to lose a few pounds before the panthers really start to practice football
Feeding the Dogs
I was told that I could make posts by using my blackberry. I am trying it right now as I'm feeding Kannapolis 2 greatest dogs.
I know some of U wko have seen Pixy lately, r probably saying she could skip a few meals.
Well, I will check later tonight to see if this blog went through. After feeding the dogs, I have to do one of those inlaw eating events beginning at 4:30. Pray 4 me!!!

Cedar Point's Opening Day
As many of you know, this is one of my favorite places to go. I'm sure some of you get tired of hearing me talk about it over the years, but it brings back many great memories:
It's where Kristy and I went on our honeymoon in 2000!!!
It's where Matt Ford, Jonathan Martin, and Josh Parrish went in 2002 to kick off their senior year of basketball.
It's where Taylor Beaver, Nathan Wright, and Christopher Wingler went with me in 2004.
In 2006, Josh Parrish and Bradley Blackburn visited with me last year.
In 2007, ?????
