Speedway incentives questioned???

Concord bit off more than they could chew by taking on Bruton Smith. He got 80 million dollars, and Speedway Blvd will now be named after him. Concord once again was the big loser in this showdown.

Health care giants take message straight to Kannapolis residents.

It should be interesting who will win this battle, Carolinas Medical Center or Presbyterian. If I was a betting man, I would bet on CMC over Presbyterian. I think I would prefer Presbyterian, since I've had better results with them over the years.

Need a Laugh?

SICK LEAVE
I urgently needed a few days off work, But, I knew the
Boss would not allow me to take leave.
I thought that maybe if I acted "Crazy"
Then he would tell me to take a few days off.
So, I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny
noises.
My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was
doing.
I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb,
So, that the Boss might think I was "Crazy" and give
me a few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and
asked, "What in the name of good GOD are you doing?"
I told him I was a light bulb.
He said, "You are clearly stressed out."
Go home and recuperate for a couple of days."
I jumped down and walked out of the office...
When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the
Boss asked her, "..And where do you think you're
going?!"

(You're gonna love this....)

She said, "I'm going home too. I can't work in the
dark.

Gem has no plans to move

This is great news and I hope that it is never closed. I still enjoy going to the gem a couple times a year to see a movie.

I did not see this coming.

Indian Girl Recovering After Risky Surgery to Remove Four Extra Limbs.

Wow, she was born with 4 arms and 4 legs. It's great news that the surgery was successful and that she will live a normal life. They have a picture with the article, but I did not want to post it here so it would not offend anyone. It's rather gruesome, in my opinion.

US scientists engineer 'mighty mice'

I sure hope that we don't start delivering these rats at Sunpet. It's hard enough to catch the ones that escape now, and I can't imagine how many it would take to catch these "mighty mice".

Giuliani a surprise hit in S.C.

I'm still undecided about who to support. I'm glad that N.C. is not one of the early voting states, because the number still running should be down to a couple by time we go to the primary next year.
