I'm Back (for a few days)

I know that I've not posted much the past two weeks, but I've spent three days in the Mountains and 6 days in Charleston. I know that as August begins in a few hours, I'll be getting ready for football and loving the opportunity for us to share our opinions about America's pastime. I hope to post about our youth mission trip to Charleston tomorrow. I also hope that Bradley will share about his mission trip to Mexico. I think he gets back this week.

Mountain Bound

I was just wanting to let y'all know that I'll be gone for a few days. I'm getting ready to leave for the Mountains and come back Wednesday evening. I hope that y'all keep the site clean and neat, like me. :) I'm still waiting for Bradley to put up a weekly devotional, but he leaves for Mexico on Thursday for a Mission Trip. Please pray for their safety and that the Lord will work through them. I will be leaving this Saturday, July 23 and be back on Friday, July 29. I'm taking our youth to Charleston for a mission trip. I know what some of you are thinking, HE ALWAYS FINDS A WAY TO GO TO CHARLESTON :)

Don't read that book!

I just wonder what the penalty would be and exactly how it would be enforced. Armed guards at the bedsides of the kids making sure they know that it's 15-20 in the pen if they so much as crack that book they bought open.

Candians.

BBC edits out the word terrorist

Wow! Another example of Political Correctness being out of control. We can't call them Terrorists. I also saw on the O'Reilly factor where the NY Times was calling Zarqawi, the "terrorist mastermind in Iraq" a "Jordanian Fighter. Wow!!! The Power of Words!!

Bush finds no friends at TV networks

I can't believe that they actually had to spend time and money on this study. All you need to do is listen to any of the news shows and you could have answered that one.

How Sweet It Is!!!

A Wonderful thing happened this afternoon. I went to visit my old friend, Darel, and he invited me to play Chess. That is the only game that he has a winning record over me in in the past 27 years. He always wants to play me in Chess, but he never calls me for basketball, tennis, etc because he loses all the time. I decided to play him, even though he has a pretty long winning streak against me. The streak is over as I whipped him pretty good. He did do the "girly" thing and ran and hid to get a "stalemate", but it was a real beat down by me. It was so sweet, it was almost as sweet as when Villanova beat unc in the NCAA tournament (before the refs decided to get involved). Well, the streak is over. :)

Circumcision may offer Africa AIDS hope

Does this mean that the Covenant with Abraham in Genesis was just about Hygiene? Do you think the early church would have argued over this as much if they had this information back then? Was God trying to protect His chosen people from this disease before it began in the late 1970's? Calvin does teach that God predestines people through His Foreknowledge? I'm sure Craig or Darel may jump on that last statement :)

Circumcision may offer Africa AIDS hope / Procedure linked to much lower rate of new HIV infections

O'Connor Retires From Supreme Court | July 1, 2005

For those of you old enough to remember Clarence Thomas Hearings, I have a feeling that it's going to be worse this time. I bet the Republicans wished they would have used the "nuclear" option on Filibusters just two months ago. It's going to come back and bite them good, I'm afraid.
